Sir Ziauddin Ahmad (1873 – 1947) was a great mathematician and educationist. He was related to MAO College and Aligarh Muslim University. His travelogue of Germany is historically the first among the travelogues of Germany written in Urdu. He has not only analysed the concept of education and teaching methods of Europe, especially Germany, in the context of the Indian concept of education and teaching methods but also tried to determine their beauty and success in the light of his deep experiences and observations. Dr. Shams Badayuni has introduced his extensive services through case studies and anecdotes. An attempt has also been made to understand and explain the distinctions of Sir Ziauddin Ahmed in education through these travelogues and articles.
