Dr Aftab Alam is a Gold Medalist in MA and PhD in Urdu from Aligarh Muslim University; he has research and teaching experience of more than 15 years at AMU. He writes fiction, film scripts and criticism. He has written 17 books and published over 30 research papers and articles in various reputed national and international journals. He has served 5 years as joint editor of Fikr-o-Nazar, an esteemed journal of AMU. He was also the Film Club president at the University’s Cultural Education Centre. He regularly organises various workshops and symposiums.
