Prof Mohammad Shamim was educated at BIT Sindri and IIT Delhi; earned degrees in Mechanical Engineering, specialising in Turbo Machines and Aero Engines. He taught different subjects of Mechanical Engineering for more than 35 years and retired as a professor at the same institution. He was also interested in Islamic activities and learnt Arabic from Maulana Muhammad Ayub Islahi, Rampur. He also learned Logic & Philosophy from a German Missionary Father, Demeester. His research work and books related to Quran and Prophet Muhammad were widely acclaimed.
